Reception Remarkable Reads

Each Friday, five reception children are chosen to receive a special invitation to bring their favourite book into school the following Monday.  Over the course of the following week we share these books together during story time.  The children love to tell their friends why they particularly like their book and they are always excited for the class to enjoy it too.  It has proved to be a huge success and has really developed a passion and enthusiasm for reading.  At the end of the story, the children often burst into a round of applause as they have been so excited by the book!
