Class 6
Year Six Curriculum & Class Update
Class Six have had an exciting and productive few weeks! We concluded our English topic, A Story Like the Wind, by writing our own flashback narratives, showcasing creativity and imagination. The children also enjoyed crafting bespoke Christmas stories for their Reception buddies, spreading festive cheer across the school. In preparation for the Christmas Fayre, we rolled up our sleeves and baked delicious gingerbread for Santa’s Grotto—our classroom smelled amazing!
In art, we finished our sketching skills unit by drawing self-portraits and creating vibrant abstract pieces inspired by our hobbies. Maths has been all about practical skills: learning to weigh and measure accurately, exploring different units, and tackling coordinates. Geography took us on a journey around the globe as we studied countries, continents, poles, and hemispheres.
To top it all off, Class Six proudly completed the Jingle Jog, raising money for charity and showing fantastic community spirit. What a wonderful way to end the term!
